WSA to host NYS Girls U14 Teir 1 Tournament

It is my distinct honor and privilege to announce that the Westchester Vipers have been selected to be the host of the 2011 Girls Tier I U14 State Tournament at WSA for the first time ever! The host locations were awarded at this past weekends State meeting.
 
Sites for all of our 2011 Tournament Teams are as follows:
 
Squirts - Dix Hills - March 4 - 6, 2011
Peewees - Skaneateles - March 11-13, 2011
Bantams - Clifton Park - March 11-13, 2011
Mid Min - Ogdensberg - March 18 - 20, 2011
Mid Maj - Cazenovia Park (Buffalo) - March 18 - 20, 2011
Girls U12 Tier II - Camillus - March 11 - 13, 2011

So it seems that not even a youth hockey organization is impervious to hackers and the unscrupulous scams that they run attempting to steal your hard earned money. The association would like to remind everyone that we, the Westchester Vipers Youth Hockey Association, will not ask for money from you outside of your regular tuition and team fees. If addtional fees are ever required, it certainly will not be done by a general email.

Remember to take online security seriously. Please be careful with all your online transactions. Install and use fire walls, virus protection software. There are more and more people out there attempting to pray on your good nature. Also note that any email received on behalf of this organization are usually signed with a author's name, never is an email sent out signed in general as "the Westchester Vipers".

If you should ever have any questions about any email or contact you don't feel comfortable with please contact Dave Mensi the president of the organization or any of the other board members at any time.

Use of Neck Guards

There have been numerous questions raised regarding the use of neck guards this season. Hopefully this will clear up any questions that are still out there.

USE OF NECK GUARDS

 

          The Vipers organization strongly recommends that our players use regulation neck guards anytime they are on the ice, including for all practices, games, and clinics.  In any event, neck guards must be worn for ALL games played on Long Island, as the Long Island league requires the wearing of neck guards. This includes State Tournament Playdown games played at Playland vs the Mariners and at Brewster vs Brewster.  Any player failing to wear a neck guard during a game in a Long Island rink could be barred from playing in the game.
